Update
There will be an indefinite hold on Poetry Sunday until either you or I can convince me of a reason to continue writing it. The same may go for the blog in general, I haven't decided yet. As it no longer seems to provide any sort of outlet for my frustrations and I still have my journal who I've neglected for quite some time. PS for sure has been disbanded as of today (technically last week) and "Around the Gills" is awaiting further orders. Convince me otherwise. You have one week.

HOLY COW!
I FINALLY FOUND A VIDEO OF IT! THE SONG THAT THIS BLOG IS NAMED AFTER! Now, I know that you can't really hear the lyrics as it's the drummer's camera, but I'll post them for you so that you can kind of keep up. It's the only video I've been able to find of this song anywhere. Apparently it wasn't good enough to make the cut for their reissue of the album on the Barsuk label, but I found it to be one of their most heartfelt and one of (if not) their best songs. And just so you know, I was about to write a long 'ol thing about how people don't take me seriously and respect and courtesy are often thrown out the window and if people were just up-front with me then I wouldn't really have a problem, but then I found this video and I thought that it explained so much more and I was happy. So, without any more dilly-dallying, here it is, "Around the Gills" (lyrics below).
I wrote this down because I knew I was through and my heart's been tough to beat and it's all making sense. There is no sense in making believe there's something else to be seen. You couldn't make it go away if it was meant to be.
It comes down to a fundamental age-old principle: it should never hurt unless you know. But I'll always see what I always want.
If only I could be doubtless for a while instead of me.
I could never really consider it a problem, nor should I. It's only what you make of it, right? Kind of keeps you focused, kind of helps you see, kind of makes you realize who you want to be.
Such a sensitive child with such fruitless tastes. He'll make it all worthwhile. He'll make the perfect case. What an insensitive smile. What an impermeable face. I'm so easily riled, I could never keep this pace.
I want it to be recognized that I'll never make your scene and this will not be heard until the ground will grow over me.

Damnit, Billy
Why can't you just write love songs all the time? Why do you have to be a recovering socialist? Why?! WHY?!

YES!
Unreleased Birdmonster songs coming out the day of the hard copy of the album! One of which is Forever Gone! I know none of you know the song, but it's absolutely amazing! Could the other one be "Yuma"? Or "I Won't Be Long"? Or maybe another one? DAMNIT, I CAN'T FINISH THE IN-STUDIO AS I HAVE A DENTIST'S APPOINTMENT!
In-Studio

Quite An Amazing Day
Yes, a ride along occurred on this fine day (technically yesterday) and there's much to be said and many laughs were had from the evening, but as I'm drained and tired, I'm simply going to rest for now and will have something for you tomorrow (today). I haven't decided as to whether or not I'm going to use my "Emergency Blanket" to-nite or go with the regular blankets. That space age technology is pretty tempting. Anywho, I'll leave you all with the best quote/advice from to-nite (and possibly ever) which comes from uncle Jim through the voice of 2nd cousin Bryan. "Never trust a fart and never let an erection go to waste."

Regulars
Would my regular readers please stop by and say hello in the comments section. And I'm not talking about you people who I know about (the 4 of you (yes, my minionship is growing)) I'm talking about the people reading this who have no idea whatsoever who I am. I'd like to meet you folks. Drop by, tell me something about yourselves, make yourselves known. And those of you who I know about, say "hi" once in a while, it gets lonely on the webterspacenets.
